Crib Sets Are A Great Addition For Your Babies Room

Today, crib bedding sets are available in many different styles, shapes and sizes. They are usually sold in sets of 4 and 6. Many crib sets are made of a soft material so that they are comfortable for baby. You always want to make sure that you get your crib bedding set in a material that is stain resistant. There will be plenty of stain for the material to resist. The mattress in the crib should fit very snugly so there are no places where babies extremities may get caught. A great place to start looking for your crib bedding is the Internet. A good rule of thumb is that your two fingers should not be able to get between the crib and the mattress. And when you put baby to sleep, you may want to use pajamas to keep him or her warm instead of blankets that baby may be able to get wrapped up in.

The number one thing you want to look at before purchasing a crib bedding set is the safety. Some experts say that the safest crib to put your baby in is a bare crib. They say this because babies may be prone to getting caught up in some of the things people may put in the crib for decoration.

One thing you may want to consider putting in the crib is crib bumper pads. This will ensure that there is a soft surface around the inside of the crib so baby wont bump its head. The old bumpers back in the day were not sufficient because it was believed that they didn’t supply enough fresh air for the baby. Some mothers are creating homemade baby bedding sets.

The crib industry is massive and there are many crib designers out there in the industry. Most of the designers offer unique crib designs at sensible and affordable prices. There are many different themes to choose from. There are animal themes, television themes, sports themes and the list goes on and on. It is a good idea to get a theme that will match the room in the right way. Make sure that the crib set will match the wall paint and other accessories such and lamps and tables that may already be in the room.

Free background check tips

Conducting a free background check on the Internet is not as simple as some advertisements want you to believe. While the web has provided us a huge amount of great tools for us to do our own our own free background checks, it has also opened the doorways to some unscrupulous firms and services.

A great amount of the free background check information is obtained by firms from free public records depositories. These types of information databases are usually local or local legislature agencies that make their data available to the public.

The problem I have encountered is that a large amount of these companies use old or poor data sources for their commercial websites. These poor records are commonly worthless and outdated for the end user.

A frequent problem that I I have also came across frequently with services on the web is the old bait and swith method method. These services will be offering you free records and let you to search their records but the service will then want cash for you to review the data found .

Their are a couple of things you can do to make sure your not wasting your time with these poor quality background check sites. Your primary tactic is to conduct a Google search for the company or background check service on the Internet. Look for reviews and articles concerning the company.

The other step I would suggest is to first, check if your local govt has a free public records site. Many local and state govts provide free public data services to the citizens. These sites are usually up to date and supply extraordinarily applicable results.

You will have to peer past the convincing advertisements of these sites. If it sounds too good to be true, than well it is. I have never actually found a helpful background check online so don’t think the false advertising that is shoveled at you everyday on the web.

Suzanne Somers’ Get Skinny on Fabulous Food

If you are trying to lose weight, you may be trying to find a great diet that will really help you out. However, it can be really hard to decide on the diet that will really work for you, with so many out there for you to choose from. There are a variety of great books out there on weight loss as well that have been turned into diet plans, and one of those was Suzanne Somers dieting plan. Not sure that this is a great book or a great diet plan? Well, let’s do a bit more research and find out all about this diet and whether or not it is a great choice for you and your weight loss needs.

Overview of the Diet

Basically this is a book and a diet that was written and developed by Suzanne Somers and it is developed around the premise that you can actually eat anything and lose the weight you want to. However, it does stress that you have to eat in certain combinations if you want to lose weight. The author points out that she thinks that it is certain combinations of food that make people fat, so she shows how to combine foods in certain ways that are to help you lose weight.

Who Does it Work Best For?

For people who have no will power at all and those who really want to eat all the foods they love, Suzanne Somers dieting plan is a diet that they may want to try. If you don’t want to be left hungry all the time feeling deprived because you can only eat protein or vegetables, this is the diet that offers something different.

A Few Pros and Cons

- Pro #1 – Eat Just About What You Want – The main pro that most people find with this diet is that they can finally eat the foods that they want to eat instead of dealing with diets that totally limit them in foods.

- Pro #2 – Recipes Included – Another pro of this diet and book is that there are quite a few recipes that are included in the book, so you do have an idea where to start. However, once you go through the recipes, you may find yourself a bit lost.

- Pro #3 – Don’t Count Points or Calories – You’ll also find that you will never have to count any points or any calories when you are on this diet. All you have to do is make sure that you eat certain foods together and that you avoid eating foods together tha may cause you problems.

- Con #1 – The Author Has No Nutrition Credits – One of the main cons of this diet plan is that the creator, Suzanne Somers really does not have any nutrition credits as well. The only thing she has done in the past is appear in an infomercial for a special exerciser for thighs. So, all that she offers in her book is not based on great nutrition credentials.

- Con #2 – Silly Claims – Another con of this diet and book is that some of the claims are just silly. The author advises people not to drink any water with their meal, stating that the digestive juices get diluted and you won’t be able to lose weight as you should. There is absolutely no merit found for this idea, so it appears to be a bit off the wall and silly.

- Con #3 – Food Combining is Needed – You’ll also find that to follow this diet you’ll have to combine foods in certain ways in order to be allowed to eat them. This is not always fun and it’s not always easy to get the right combination at the right time as well. Her method of food combining is called Somerizing, but it can be difficult to actually incorporate this into your life.

Foods You Can Eat and Some You Can’t

When it comes to eating foods on Suzanne Somers dieting plan, you can just about eat anything; however, it is how you eat it that is so important to this diet. When you eat fruits, you are only supposed to eat them by themselves. Proteins and fats are supposed to be eaten with vegetables and when you eat carbs, you’re allowed to eat them with vegetables, but not with fats. Fats and proteins are never to be eaten along with carbs. Also, if you want to change the type of meal you’re eating, you have to wait at least three hours.

What the Medical Community Has to Say

When it comes to what the medical community has to say about this diet, most of the things they have to say are not really complimentary to the diet. You see, most people in the medical field really feel like much of what the author says in the books is not true and that there is not scientific premise for it, such as the idea that drinking water with your meal is bad. So, for the most part, this is not a diet that has impressed the medical field in any manner.

Online profits From a Few Simple Strategies

One of the simplest and most overlooked aspects of online marketing is that it’s not complicated. More precisely, there are a lot of “experts” who try to make it complicated. Aside from whatever motivation they might have to do that online profits occur from one simple equation –

Traffic + Conversion = Sales

– performed over & over again

There are MANY ways to get traffic (visitors) to your site and cause them to take some action or “convert,” which will either result in more leads or (less frequently) result directly in more sales to your business.

So here’s the other simple rule — you only need to master 1 or 2 traffic methods and 1 or 2 conversion methods, and you will make money. You don’t need to master the entire kitchen to make a grilled cheese sandwich, and you don’t need to know EVERYTHING about internet marketing in order to add revenue to your business.

With that in mind, there are a few basic traffic techniques I’ve implemented in some of my sites and client sites that have universally and consistently WORKED. Here are a few of those methods — but remember, you only need to pick one or two:

Increasing Visitor Count

1) Twitter is a highly effective means of targeting your niche and developing the conversation with your customers and prospects. In fact, it is second to none. However, most businesses don’t know how to use Twitter effectively. They spam with “sales tweets” — “Look at the cool new thing I’m selling.” The 80/20 rule is highly effective — 80% of your tweets should be about something interesting, funny or otherwise engaging… a question of the day like “What’s for lunch?”… anything to get people talking, laughing, thinking… Also, keep it consistent and be generous with re-tweets. A few tweets a day go a long way toward establishing a rabid list of followers. The wrong thing to do is to Tweet like a madman for a day or two and then disappear for a month. Or worse, don’t reply when someone direct messages you or @messages you. That’s like ignoring someone at a dinner party when they ask you to pass the gravy. You WON’T get any dessert.

2) Video marketing — one of the fastest ways to rank your site and get lots of inbound traffic. Keep your videos consistent — don’t show up one day in a baseball cap and dark lighting, talking about the rain, and another day bouncing in a jungle gym screaming about business leads. Consistent message, consistent tone, consistent look & feel. Also, be sure to put a call to action in your video’s description, as well as the full URL of your website’s landing page, and use appropriate keywords.

3) Article marketing is an evergreen method for outstanding traffic generation, with one HUGE caveat — mix it up! Putting the same article on 400 article directories will get you nowhere fast. You will get a bump in traffic from all the inbound links until Google figures out they’re all the same article and basically count it as one link. There are content spinners out there that alter the content of your articles automatically, but you have to be very careful here as well. Most content spinners change a word or two to replace it with a synonym, or they mash up the article randomly so the output is basically junk that cannot be read. It has to pass human review. So if you’re looking for a quality content spinner, ideally you want to be able to change the entire sentence many times throughout the article, and then have it spin those into hundreds of different articles. That’s the professional way to do it. At the bottom of your article, have a call to action in the information field; a blurb about you (the author) and a link to a free guide the reader can pick up at your website.

Visitors Taking Action

1) Keep it simple. The landing page has to do ONE thing — get people to ACT. For this reason, it’s been called a SINGLE ACTION PAGE. Pear it down to the bare essence of what you need the visitor to do. Consider placing a video on the page with a very simple message, “Hey thanks for stopping by for my free whizbang. Just type in your first name and e-mail address and I will rush it right over to you. In just a moment after you send your information, you’ll get an e-mail with a confirmation link. Click that link and I will instantly send your free whizbang.”

2) Direct, direct, direct. Notice the video script in #1 above — see how we instructed the user on exactly what they need to do? And then we told them what to expect next, and what they would then need to do. And we closed with a reminder of the benefit — the free whizbang.

If you have trademarked the term “whizbang,” then I apologize in advance. ;)

3) Test, test, test. ALWAYS have two versions of your landing page operating at one time. You can optimize your landing page using freely available Google tools in the Web Optimizer toolbox. You really can’t go on “gut” here — the data will be you every single time. Even on PPC ads, we have literally seen the addition of a question mark in the ad increase conversion by 16.8% So test, test, test.

Conclusion

These methods work on any business in any industry. Here is some social proof –

Local landscape designer increased her traffic by 7,342% (yes seven thousand percent)

  • Local artist went from three visitors a day to an average of 41 visitors a day
  •

  • International digital publisher had zero e-commerce and started converting 16% of all traffic to revenue within 72 hours of implementing one traffic strategy and one conversion strategy
  •

  • Changing a landing page to a simple design on an e-book site turned conversion from an anemic two sales per week to eight sales a day — on the same traffic.
  •

I hope this helps your business. The average business fails to do what it takes to drive traffic or achieve conversions to their website. While they exercise 20-30 traffic methods on average, they don’t do a single one effectively.  There are many sources online to learn about effective marketing strategies, including free resources and some almost-free, like the definitive guidebook  750 Traffic Techniques.

Do-it-for-you solutions are also available; experience guides the appropriate strategy for the website and market. The biggest challenge business owners face is knowing which strategy to implement. Experimentation can be very costly in terms of time and lost sales… The key is to find a reputable marketing firm that offers a full range of customized services as well as downloadable products and courses to assist every website owner at every budget level.

15+ Really Sweet iPhone Tips

When I spend about half a grand on a cell phone, I’m thinking . . . “i want to get my money’s worth!”

That’s how I feel, anyway — which is why I made it my business to put my new iPhone through the paces from jump street by scouring the web’s most serious iPhone resources for the most useful power tips/ tricks available. The result is this collection of 16 iPhone power tips that will help you get even more enjoyment out of your new favorite toy! Some of these, granted, you’ll need to Google to get the current URL. But, if you want, you can just click the link for the complete article with photos and videos.

1. Unstick a Stuck Slider: if you’re iPhone’s slider ever gets stuck — as in, it simply refuses to do anything when you try to slide it, usually because you want to make the iPhone up to use it — here is a fix from iPhone Atlas (www.iphoneatlas.com): press the Home button once before attempting to move the slider for the first time.

2. Make Skype calls: Up-front disclaimer: We’re not talking about free, voice-over-IP (VOiP) Skype calls here. We’re talking about making SkypeOut calls, which are not free but can drastically reduce the cost of making international calls on your iPhone. Matter of fact, SoonR lets you access Apple Mail files, mailboxes, and contacts. It also lets you grab documents from your Mac for viewing on iPhone, including PowerPoint presentations and all that kinda’ good stuff.

3. Know Where to Go for the 411: Lucky for you, the world has gone iPhone crazy. That means there a lot of excellent sources of info on the latest iPhone developments out there on the web. Bad news: there’s a lot of crap, also. Here’s a short list of our favorite iPhone info sites:

- modmyiPhone.com
– iPhoneFreak.com
– iPhoneAlley.com
– The Unofficial Apple Weblog’s iPhone page
– Gizmodo’s iPhone coverage
– iPhoneAtlas.com

While you’re checking these sites, keep in mind that some sites you might already be visiting on a regular basis have really done a super job of becoming iPhone-friendly, including Digg.com, Amazon.com, FaceBook.com, and Netvibes.com!

4. Play Great Games: You know what Jack says about all work and no play! Not that the web surfing you’re doing on your iPhone is all work-related, yeah right? Games — most of which are free — are starting to pop up for the iPhone, and we’re sure there will be more where those came from. For now, you can just launch the Safari browser when your iPhone and visit these hot game sites:

- MacMost’s collection of iPhone games, including classics like solitaire and minesweeper (free, MacMost iPhone Games).

- mynuMo has 4 iPhone games, including iWhack — a whack-a-mole knockoff where the mole’s replaced by a headshot of Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer — and Blackjack (also free, myNuMo iPhone Games).

- iGiki’s games, which include Hangman and Canyon Crawl — aren’t free, but then, they’re only a buck a pop and might be just what you need when you get tired of the freebies (99 cents per game pack for 99 days, iGiki Games).

- PopCap’s Bejeweled, (free, PopCap Bejeweled).

5. Beat a Shortcut to your Fave iPhone Apps: Handy iPhone apps, like Leaflets (free, Get Leaflets) and Applists (free, Get Applists) put most iPhone apps your fingertips, but if you want to build your own list, just collect the apps you tend to use the most into the same bookmarks folder in Safari on your computer. Then, the next time you sync your iPhone, using iTunes, be sure to check “Sync Safari Bookmarks” on the info tab, under Web browser.

6. Rehang the Wallpaper: If you’re up for a bit of iPhone hacking, you can take any image you find anywhere on the web and turn it into a custom wallpaper.

But there is a much easier way: Download a 320×480 pixel image for free from a variety of online sources, saving them all in the same folder on your Mac. In iTunes, with your iPhone docked, select your iPhone, click the Photos tab, select the radio button next to “Sync Photos From…,” then from the drop-down list, select “Choose Folder…”

Next, browse to the folder you just created, then click “Apply” in the lower-right hand corner. Finally, on your iPhone, go to Settings, Wallpaper, Photo Library to hang your new wallpaper!

7. Take Self-Portraits Because the iPhone camera shutter’s button is a “soft” (i.e., onscreen) button, it’s a bit tricky to take self-portraits with it since you have to turn the phone around so you can no longer see the button. Here’s the solution: with the camera feature selected, place your finger on the camera icon and turn the phone around so you’re facing the lens. Then, smile pretty and let go of the shutter button! You’ll hear the telltale “click” — and, you’ve just taken a self-portrait!

8. Reveal Secret Features: When Apple released the first firmware update for the iPhone on August 1, 2007, it did so with little fanfare, and attributed most of the updates to “security fixes.” The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg discovered a few new non-security-related features on his side phone after the update including:

- Greater capacity in the iPhone module’s Favorites list (used to be 20, is now 50).
– Ability to automatically blind carbon copy (BCC) yourself on all e-mails sent, where previously, your only option was to CC yourself, which alerted your recipients what you were up to…
– Compatibility with some car adapters and external speakers, originally created for the iPod. For more iPhone and tech tidbits, visit Walt’s blog.

9. Just Ditch the Camera Altogether: On the other hand, if you know you’ll never use the iPhone’s camera, you can just remove it altogether. (If you work for or with certain government agencies, you’re iPhone may actually be considered “contraband” on their property because they don’t want you taking secret photos of Bigfoot, Elvis, or (believe it or not) alien spaceships!

10. Get the Official Mod Tool: If you’ve already had to send your iPhone back to Apple for warranty repair or replacement, you may have already discovered something different about the replacement iPhone. First off, it comes in a much thinner box. Second, it comes complete with the “official iPhone SIM card removal tool”: a paperclip! Yup, Apple actually supplies a paperclip with all replacement iPhones, along with instructions for using it to open the SIM card slot and insert your card!

11. Buy Spare Parts: If you’re the type who simply can’t resist trying to take your iPhone apart, here’s where to go to find replacement parts when you go too far: iPhone Parts. Sources of mine told me that Apple charges $300 for a replacement screen, but you can get one from iFixIt for only $199.95.

12. Kill that Annoying GSM Buzz: If you hear a buzzing sound, while using an iPhone cassette adapter in your car stereo, such as Monsters iCarPlay — which claims to be iPhone-compatible (but doesn’t appear anywhere on Monster’s website) — Gizmodo offers a low-tech solution: aluminum foil… Yup, just take a little bit of Reynolds Wrap and wrap it around the cable closest to your iPhone. Doing so eliminates the need to switch to “Airplane mode,” which would be a viable solution if it didn’t send your incoming calls to voicemail!

13. Find Wi-Fi Hotspots in Your Neighborhood: JiWire makes it easy to find the nearest hotspot when your iPhone — so you can rescue yourself from the slow-moving hell that is AT&T’s EDGE data service. Surf on over to iphone.jiwire.com on your iPhone and fill in your location. If you’re a cheapskate (like me), check the box for “Search Free Hotspots Only.”

14. More Wi-Fi Performance Enhancements: Apple has a potentially useful collection of WiFi related iPhone tips in a regularly-updated knowledgebase article on its website. Suggestions include fixing problems like paid WiFi connections that drop off suddenly, weak WiFi signals, and WiFi connections that revert to EDGE due to issues with WEP passwords, or problems with Mac address filtering.

15. “Hack” Your iPhone!: Disclaimer: this tip isn’t for everybody. Some of these “hacks” (i.e., self-made modifications to the iPhone’s default behavior) are intended for people who have experience changing the way their computers behave by accessing the underlying code governing such behavior. You’ve been warned.

- For Macs: iFuntastic and Installer.app.
For Windows: Installer.app or iBrickr.

Once you’ve installed one of the above helper apps, you can try an ever-expanding array of iPhone mods. With iFuntastic, for example, you can add your own custom ringtones, rearrange the Home screen, and change the AT&T logo. Installer.app goes even further, letting you install and play Nintendo games that feature tactile feedback! The good folks at Gizmodo.com make it easy for Mac users to take advantage of this newfound power over their iPhones with a handy tutorial (visit their site and search for install apps iPhone).

Windows users can also use a helper app called iBricker to modify their iPhone, install custom ringtones, and install third-party apps. But, if all you care about is adding custom ringtones, you might want to try Efiko’s iPhoneRingToneMaker ($10).

16. Just Don’t Be a Sucker!: While searching for the latest iPhone apps, you could run across some websites that’ll offer you instant access to hundreds of the latest apps — all for one-time membership fee of $49.95. These sites include, but are not limited to, www.iphonenova.com, www.iphonecyclone.com, and www.iphonedownloadpro.com. Problem here, is that these sites (IMHO) are scams.

I ponied up $50 for membership to iPhoneNova, for example, which claims to be the “World’s First iPhone Download Service.” Guess what it really is? It’s a BitTorrent-like site for downloading illegal content you can view on your iPhone or iPod.

But, your $50 membership only gets you a BitTorrent client called Tomato Torrent and links for you to download two more already-free apps that help you convert existing videos and ripped DVD content to be viewed on your iPod/ iPhone. You also get links to a mere five (5) web-based iPhone games and a huge, poorly-organized list of illegal movie downloads like “The Simpsons” and “Transformers.” Nuff said; as Napoleon Dynamite would say, “…What a Rip-off”!

Bacterial Vaginosis A Common Female Problem

Bacterial vaginosis can be difficult for some women to get rid off. Others just take some probiotics and poof, it is gone. Most women that end up going to a doctor get antibiotics. Antibiotics will most likely work but often, women will get a recurrent bout of BV within a few months. The problem hasn’t really been solved.

Doctors don’t even know what actually causes BV. They just know what has occured to bring bacterial vaginosis on. They call it an overgrowth of bad bacteria, but they don’t know what triggers this overgrowth. In my opinion it is due to our poor diet and general ill health. People are getting sick left and right and every time you turn around someone is getting cancer.

So, like me, you can switch to a really health diet and stop eating junk. You know, fresh food, nothing that has been prepared. No take-out food, no restaurant food. No frozen food. Take the time to cook and eat as much raw veggies and fruit as possible.

If you want to know the Symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis check out that site that has some good info for you on a more natural approach.

Odds are you have thought that you could wash your problem away. Most women try the route of washing or douching, thinking the problem has to do with cleanliness. This is the wrong approach and will not solve Bacterial Vaginosis.

You cannot wash this problem away. It didn’t start because you were unclean and it won’t go away just because you start washing and douching. And don’t use special wipes with alcohol or fragrance or lotion or baby wipes. That stuff isn’t good for helping and could be part of the problem.

Start taking loads of good bacteria, called probiotics. This good bacteria can help fight off the bad bacteria that is causing BV.

Want to read more then here is a site with some good info that is not one of those lame government sites that is only going to tell you the same stuff you have heard before. Like what bacterial vaginosis is. Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment

It is not this article’s intention to provide specific medical advice to users of this website, instead this article is meant to provide users with information to help them better understand their health. You should consult a doctor before taking any medical advice.

RAISE A BILINGUAL CHILD

Many fathers want their kids to learn English and learn Mandarin, but what is the best to develop bilingualism in young ones?

TEACH BOTH LANGUAGES SIMULTANEOUSLY. A kid has the inborn capability to learn English and learn Chinese. As such, children under three or four need not be able to distinguish which sentence is English and which is Mandarin. To naturally help kid to build up the language logics, we need to teach them to express themselves in correct, fluent sentences in a conducive environment which will lead to successful bilingualism. Flashcards is also good tool to help children acquire the languages.

AVOID MIXING THE TWO LANGUAGES. When talking with young ones , consistently use language that is correct and standardized. To main the purity of each language, we should not mix both languages in a single sentence.

BUILD A CONDUCIVE HOME ENVIRONMENT. The most ideal home environment for bilingualism is to have someone communicating with the child wholly in English, and someone talking with the kid wholly in Mandarin.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT SCHOOL. Some families lack the environment for bilingualism. Thus, selecting a good bilingual school for the child will be important. When learning a language, a kid requires more than one or two hours of lessons in class – the language environment in their daily lives also plays a big role. In class, young ones learn through nursery rhymes, songs and storybooks. Although most young ones are able to read and speak Chinese, they are unable to communicate with others and express themselves appropriately in their daily lives. Therefore, when it comes to bilingual schools, fathers should evaluate the classroom lessons as well as the bilingual environment.

LOOK FOR ENRICHMENT CLASSES IN CHINESE. For a kid to master bilingualism, Mandarin lessons alone may not achieve the best results. To balance children’s exposure to the two languages, parents can look for calligraphy, dance and music classes that are taught in Mandarin.

Tips How To Plant Roses

Our town, is in an area heavily forested with pine trees, but my two lots and others to the north and south are what would be called a clearing in most forests. The reason, the soil too thin over an impervious underlayer for trees to grow, save one and it is the problem in my story.

I have always been an enthusiastic gardener but I shied away from roses. They were more trouble than their worth, pruning, spraying, etc. After moving to Oregon I acquired by purchase a house, two lots and a few scraggly rose bushes. All I knew to do for them was to give them water (not enough though I later learned).

After a long period of neglect they responded so slowly that I said in disgust, I am going to dig them up and plant a lawn. Next spring came and they suddenly took off and I found myself a rose grower.

Not many of the original planting remain. I learned by trial and error which would and would not grow (for me, let us say). White and most of the red varieties are best left alone.

I have purchased, planted, dug up and thrown away so many that I am immune to the blandishments of the rose catalogs; A few varieties are the exception. The pink and yellow roses do well.

I do not use a mulch. While the rest of the country is having 100% heat, here the summer fog ghosts through the trees leaving mildew, rust and other ills in its wake.

Last summer I was almost licked. After giving them their weekly spraying with my supposedly all-purpose spray as well as some liquid fertilizer, I viewed the results with a jaundiced eye and on impulse picked up some sulfur and dusted them. From then on things were better.

All my beds have to be raised for reasons mentioned earlier. We will now go back to that pine tree; because it stands alone it not only grew tall but wide. Being to the south it casts a shadow which blankets my yard from September to March.

Through the years I have learned just where the sunshine will be and for how long. That is where the roses are planted, seemingly without rhyme or reason. I have about 50 plants and would have room for a few more, if I could persuade my neighbor to prune that pine tree.

That I have achieved a measure of success may be illustrated by this incident which gave me much pleasure. Some out of town friends were trying to find our place for the first time, they asked a man, unknown, where Lobos St. was. The reply, that is the street the roses are on and proceeded to direct them.

I read the news of others not so fortunate to enjoy roses and the landscape and consider myself fortunate indeed. As usual, my roses lead the pack. It is my favorite group of plants because they bloom in bursts all summer, ending with a final burst in October.

I root feed only once and then foliar feed as I spray (once a week including a foliar feeding every two weeks). I do not know why I felt impelled to share this unless it gave me an excuse to put on paper the great enjoyment I get in the growing of roses.
