These bogs are great to hike at any time, and were created by their proximity to Mount Wai’ale’ale, which is one of the wettest places on earth. Hanalei Bay: The largest bay on Kauai’s North Shore where you’ll find over two miles of beautiful beach back dropped by lush, green mountains and waterfalls. For those who love a wonderful small town with beautiful scenery you will want to visit the town of Hanalei, which sits mid-point of the bay. You will find some breathtaking real estate both in the town area as well as on the bay itself.

Ke’e Beach: One of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Ke’e Beach is only reached by a foot path into the Na Pali coastline. You’ll find a beautiful, shallow beach here where there is little current and very few waves. Wailua River is Hawaii’s only navigable rive and home to Opaeka’a Falls, which can be seen for miles. There are several residential areas close by from which to enjoy all this state park offers throughout the year.

Waimea Canyon State Park: Although the continental US has the Grand Canyon, Kauai has the Waimea Canyon. Formed by a volcano millions of years ago, this canyon is filled with lush forests, beautiful rivers and waterfalls, wonderful flora and fauna and is the habitat of rare and endangered birds found only on Kauai. Located on the West Side of Kauai, Waimea Canyon is convenient to historic Waimea town and the Kekaha beach community.
