There are literally a ton of things to do in Atlanta GA!
What things to do Atlanta GA am I referring to well, there’s white water rafting right outside of town for one if your into a big thrill. It’s a pretty fast set of rapids I’m not sure of the level but you can look that part up. I went online to find the level to no avail. There are so many Museums in Atlanta that it’s nearly impossible to even attempt seeing them all in only one week.
The things to do Atlanta GA doesn’t stop with Museums, Oh no, the old southern plantation architecture around the area is absolutely amazing. In my humble opinion it might even rival or surpass that of Baton Rouge LA. There are so many old Southern mansions to explore that I felt like I was auditioning for a part in the new remake of Gone With The Wind. I love that style of building and the way it literally transports you back in time (in your mind of course) to what I would like to believe was a simpler time, even though it may not have been.
The downtown Atlanta beat has fine dining as one would expect, but the variety was what took me by surprise. Sure you expect to see Cajun food in small mom and pops places but to see it in fine dining to me was unusual but very welcome. There are of course discos and dance halls, taverns and Martini bars galore so if you’re interested in a very active night life Atlanta will not let you down in that area either.
And without exception Atlanta has some of the best shopping in the USA. Now yes, I am a guy, so to me shopping will never qualify as a sport as it does with so many women worldwide. I would bet if my wife had her way it would be on the board for the Olympic committee to take a look at it becoming an Olympic sport. But none the less Atlanta does have a tone of shopping. So much so that the mall has a an unofficial lounge area for all the guys to hang out and wait for the women to return from their form of hunting.
Yes without a doubt there are things to do Atlanta GA will never even reveal to a travel writer such as myself. Each city has her secrets that take time for her to fully reveal. Kind of like a beautiful woman who’s mystery only truly grows over time and is never meant to be fully understood by man. That is quite possibly the biggest allure of all her mystery and her undiscovered ways. Atlanta has it all in spades, you simply need to go and take her plunge for yourself.
