Hawaiian vacations offer a fabulous range of things to do and see, and just as good a range of things to eat. Everybody enjoys their vacation in Hawaii, no matter the reason for them choosing it. People have many different reasons for visiting the archipelago, from getting married there, that many do, taking a short vacation during school holidays or having an annual holiday lasting two weeks or more. Clothing: When you pack for your vacation in Hawaii you’ll need to pack a few different items of clothing. Don’t just assume that it will be hot there all the time. Take a warm top and trousers as well just in case. You should also carry a rain jacket in case of a downpour. And, of course, don’t forget swimming gear and beach sandals.

Activities: Although you will be out most of the time, it does rain in Hawaii, and you might be glad of something to do while you are inside. This is particularly true if you have the kids with you, and some games would be a good idea even if they are computer games or a GameBoy or other traveling game. Some books wouldn’t take up too much room, and will come in useful for the children if you have a lot of driving to do. Some visitors like to read while relaxing with a Hawaiian cocktail after their morning swim.

Camera: this is a must! You don’t go all the way to Hawaii without a camera. The islands have a lot of natural beauty to offer, and a video camera will also be useful to record all these volcanoes, fabulous waterfalls and of course the family. You can’t forget them! Make sure to have some extra batteries or a charger, and an empty memory card for your camera. Unless yours needs a film spool or video cassette!

Travelers Checks: Something not really related to Hawaii, but important none the less, are traveler’s checks. You should take this everywhere you go instead of cash. This way you can control your spending, but you can also make sure you are safe. The worst thing that could happen is if you lose your wallet or purse on while on vacation.

Fishing Gear: Hawaii is known as one of the top fishing spots, and there are also great opportunities for scuba diving and snorkeling. You can take this equipment with you if you like, or you can also rent it from the different beach and activities rental companies.

These are just a few of the important items that you should remember to pack for your Hawaii vacation. The best way to pack is to have a list made, so do this to make sure you don’t forget anything.
